Why is this happening to me? I’ve been working so hard, following all the rules, and trying my best to be a good person. I’ve made sacrifices and compromises. Yet, things keep going wrong. I’m facing constant setbacks at work, my relationships are strained, and even small things seem to break down. Is there some kind of cosmic force at play? Is this just bad luck, or am I doing something wrong without realizing it? What are the possible reasons why I am experiencing this persistent string of negative events despite my efforts, and what steps can I take to understand and potentially change this pattern?

Pray This Prayer

O Lord, my heart is heavy and confused. I find myself whispering, even shouting in the silence, “Why is this happening to me?” A cloud of uncertainty has settled, and I struggle to see Your hand in this situation.

I feel lost and vulnerable, questioning Your plan and purpose. Doubt creeps in, whispering that I am alone and forgotten. I confess, Lord, that my faith feels fragile right now.

Yet, even in this moment of questioning and pain, I choose to turn to You. Remind me, Lord, of Your constant presence, of Your unwavering love. Help me to remember that You are a God who works all things for good, even when I cannot understand.

Grant me the strength to endure this trial, the wisdom to discern its lesson, and the faith to trust in Your perfect will. Open my eyes to see the blessings hidden within this hardship, and help me to learn and grow through this experience.

Though I may not understand the “why” right now, I pray for the grace to accept it, to surrender to Your divine plan, and to find peace in Your abiding presence. Help me to transform this question, “Why is this happening to me?” into a plea for guidance and understanding, trusting that You will reveal Your purpose in Your own time and in Your own way.
